Christmas on Orkas is all images that will be with us
for a long time.
Kris brought these paper lanterns which we set all
over the deck for us to enjoy through the big
picture windows.
The Day before Christmas, we traveled up on Mt.
Constitution, hoping to enjoy its stunning views. Did we get a
surprise! The road was closed at Little Summit because there was
snow. Were the kids thrilled! After a picnic lunch in a very cold
log lean-to, we did just as Mike Schroeder taught us and hiked into see
one of the beautiful waterfalls. The kids loved their first
waterfall. Many of these click for larger image.

Christmas Dinner was just what it should be -- except that
Carolyn and Bob were not there. We stopped in Portland on the way
home and spent a great night with them opening their presents and
catching-up on all the doings at Orkas.
Dietrich stood in for his Dad & learned how to chop wood for our
fireplace. Grandpa loved the help.
